..."My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people." Matt. 21:13
GFHoP is pleased to welcome you to the Pastor's Blog, where you will find weekly devotional teaching!
This is an exciting time in the Body of Christ especially since the Lord has blessed you and I to see a brand new year. My prayer for you is to see the gifts and talents God has given to all of us developed and used mightily for the Kingdom of God. Let's exalt God's cause and lift God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ so the earth will be a better place to live until Christ returns. It's time to shine as lights in this world filled with darkness. We make the difference!!! With your heart opened please allow me to share the Mantra I feel God has laid on my heart for GFHP: "Holiness, Thank God I Know" 1 Peter 1:15-16, and Hebrews 12:14. Our outline to bring in this new year was 1. Keep your heart right, 2. Be what God called you to be, 3. Stay true to all men. God has been showing Himself strong in our behave and we are seeing lives being transformed before our eyes, bless His Holy name. Our Bible Study however has taken on a whole different subject. As you can see from our title, " Looking for Break-Through" we have been having some awesome time in God's Word. Too many of God's people are being over run with issues and the Lord wanted me to address the process to help facilitate Break-Through for all those who have a heart to receive and a mind to consider. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Peter 2:7, Consider what I say and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
As a Man of God I have been taught in the past that the word "understand" is a compound word. It consist of two words, Under and Stand.
It goes like this: The word Under means: To yield and to submit. The word Stand means: A point of view or a position you take on a matter. An example would be, what is you point of view on abortion or marriage? We all have a point of view in matters however God has a point of view as well and it's found in His Word called the Bible. Whatever God says on the Matter that settles the issue. And as believers God expects us to follow what He says on the Matter. Period!!!
As you consider the subject matter please read the following passage: Psalms 119:20
Now here's what the Lord gave me to study and share with the Body of Christ, this is the process for Break-Through:
1. The "Break-Down", this represents the way our life really is before our encounter with the Lord. We are all broken individuals in need of the Savior. See: Psalms 76:1-6. Words carry a lot of power and they possess meaning too. Take for instance the word Push it has an acrostic format that is used quiet often: P = Pray, U=Until, S=something, H=Happens, Pray until something happens, I believe all of us would agree that we must pray to get results from God. However, there is something else to that same word Push that I want to make you aware of as well. Again P=Problems, Pains, and Pressures, U=Under, S=Satan's, H=Hand. The Bible says in Matthew 7:24-26, the rains descend, the floods come, and the winds blow or 3 (Three) times the trouble and beat upon the house. We are that spiritual house that god is talking about therefore we must choose what's it going to be either the first acrostic format for PUSH or the second one. Break-Through I believe will come through the first word. Persistent faith, that is faith that takes you the distance will be the key to follow hard after the Break-Through you are looking for.
Next week we will discuss point #2
"Break-Off, which represents our sins, Daniel 4:24-33.
Until next time Heaven smile upon you and give you Peace, Love Ya, Bi for now!!!
